1. Au contraire!
It was a very good game.

I was on the edge of my seat and that means a lot: It's a wheelchair.

:)

5. Actually it was one of the better Super Bowls.
Sure, it was a defensive struggle and most people don't like those. But it was a tight game that wasn't decided until the last minute.

7. Heathens!
Casual football fans all!

18-0 is now 18-1.

And the 1 was the best game of the year.

10. That was a great close game.
A huge upset.

One of the greatest defensive performances of all time.

That was anything but boring. Right down to the last seconds of the game to have that kind of drama.

Only someone who knows nothing of football could call that game boring.

16. You are soooo right!
I was glued to that game! Every charge of the Giant defense against the vaunted Patriot offensive machine was a thrilling moment. Likewise the unrelieved suspense of whether Eli could get the Giants on the scoreboard.

I've seen all the Super Bowls, and this was one of the, if not THE best.

13. It was the most exciting Super Bowl since the 1998 Green Bay - Denver game. To me, anyway.

15. I thought it was an exciting Super Bowl even if
my team, the Patriots, came up on the short end of the score.

22. One of the greatest Super Bowls ever
How can this thread be serious? That game featured physical sustained intensity for 60 minutes. Particularly from the Giants perspective on the defensive side. They knew that one big play to fall behind by two scores meant certain doom.

Boring games are like the one they played a few weeks ago, pantyhose 38-35, ole toward the end zone.

BTW, Clinton/Obama is also incredibly exciting. And destined to become moreso after the inevitable results of Tuesday night.

Comebacks may work in football. They are fool's gold in politics.

23. You really thought the game was boring?
I watched it tonight with a roomful of pretty excited football fans. We all agreed that it was a pretty exciting game!

Congratulations to the NY Giants and their fans.

24. Are you sure you didn't pop in a tape of some previous Super Bowl?
Definitely one of the best. TWO essentially game-winning drives in the last 5 minutes? Three lead changes in the 4th quarter?

Great game.

27. I tend the agree, although the Super Bowl
has had a lot of games that were over by halftime, and this one at least kept everyone's attention to the end. It reminds me a lot of the second SF Cincy Super Bowl, which was dull for most of the game but ended with a blitz of scoring and a nice last minute drive. Also, you must admit no one will ever forget that scramble and catch.

P.S. to those caught up in the afterglow and saying this one was the best ever. This wasn't even the best Super Bowl featuring the Giants. Wide Right was the best Supe of all time
