1. the NBA needs Lakers and Celtics really badly...REEEALLLY badly
but it'll probably end up with San Antonio and Cleveland or something stupid like that, two teams most of America doesn't even care about.

6. It would be cool, but hardly necessary. Only old those-were-the-days fogies need it.

2. Takes me back to the 1980's...I rooted for the Lakers then, will go with
the Celtics this time. I have really, really soured on Kobe.

4. Hey, don't count the Pistons out
They could easily win it all. And I don't care if the rest of the country doesn't care about them, *I* do.

We here in the north get a little tired of people wanting championships to only feature teams from the east and/or west coast. The Pistons play some darn good -- and entertaining -- basketball.

Go Pistons!

5. The Pistons are a very good team
But Chauncey Billups can't keep up with Rajon Rondo. Looking forward to the Eastern Conference Finals.

10. I don't count them out....but I don't consider them entertaining.
Those 88-79 East games put me to sleep.

But I'm a Warriors fan, so....

12. You have to learn to appreciate defense
Blocked shots and steals can be very entertaining. I love defense.

8. San Antonio may be too old and run down this year
Their path to the finals is also going to be VERY tough:

Rd1: Phoenix
Rd2: winner of NO-DAL
Rd3: winner out of LA, DEN, UTH, HOU

I don't even know if they can even beat the Suns even though Phoenix has the one coach who may be worse than Isaiah Thomas :P

9. Their path to the finals is ALWAYS tough!!
You're right....they may not be as good with each passing year.

But this is one team I would never bet against in the playoffs.

They are so confident in the post season.

I'm really looking forward to see how it all plays out.

11. Lakers/Suns Western finals
will be very interesting with the Kobe/Shaq drama that ESPN will run to death. Even though I am a Mavs fan, I think Lakers/Celtics with Lakers winning it. JMO
