The PHILLIES will be over .500 on 1 May
putting past horrible Aprils behind them. The league MVP (Philly Shortstop Jimmy Rollins) will be out for another week. The Phillies will win the NL East. It will be a long summer Mets fans but maybe if they fade early the pain won't be as severe as it was last year. That musta really hurt.

2. The Mets are very difficult to figure out and count on.
Otherwise, I would laugh at your post. ;)

You guys need Mike Schmidt, the greatest player ever!!11! :eyes:

4. Why
would you laugh at my post? The Phillies winning the NL East in 2008?? You consider that a stretch? And the Phillies had no problem counting on the Mets last year. Right now, the only question should be which Phillie is the front runner for MVP while last years MVP continues to sit on the DL.

Schmidt is not the greatest player, just the greatest home run hitter ever. You knew that.

7. The Mets certainly aren't what they used to be but,
don't count them out just yet. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT a Mets fan, I am a hard assed, devout Phillies fan, but I hate getting my hopes up.

BTW, did JRo make a comment in preseason this year, like he did last year? I never heard anything if he did.

8. I lived six blocks
from Connie Mack stadium in 1964, got into the ballgames free after the third inning. My hopes are always up for the Phillies although therapy has gone on for 44 years. I think the Mets might have some mental issues this year if they have to spend the summer looking up at the Phillies in the standings.
