1. The Eagles have occasionally opened up a game |
with an on-side kick. I don't think they'll do it here, but you never know. I don't know much detail about the Patriots...maybe they'll play Dark Star....

3. Anything can happen with the Patriots |
Reverse with Branch, pass from Givens (he was a HS QB), Seymour/Vrabel running/catching a TD. I'd like to see a defensive TD as well, preferably from a TO/Mitchell mistake.

5. Honestly, I don't know why the Eagles are showing up |
I mean, the Patriots, led by God, are clearly the best team ever assembled. At least that's what I hear on the teevee this week.

6. Love the TV. Trust the TV. Believe the TV. |
They ought to embargo the sports press from talking about the game in the first week of the run-up. The stuff they are coming up with out of desperation for a story is getting truly bizarre.

So I'm the dumbass. Should have learned my lesson from looking for straight political news on T.V. too right!

12. I think the Eagles should mix in some option plays |
I have no idea if they have such plays in their playbook but I think McNabb could cause some major problems running a limited option offense.

13. The Annexation of Puerto Rico |
In the movie "The Little Giants", during the final play of the big game, which was called "The Annexation of Puerto Rico", the kid who plays center begins to run down the field with the ball. He is run down by a Cowboys player who tackles him, and forces the kid to fumble it backwards, where it is picked up by another Giants player and advanced downfield for a touchdown.
Under NFL rules, during the final 2 minutes of any half, only the player who fumbles the ball may advance it. Does this rule apply, however, if the ball is fumbled backward? This would be an ideal play for the Super Bowl since the refs would need a good 15 minutes to figure it out and in the meantime TV can make millions from additional ads.
