The very first NBA game I ever watched was 1975 game 5 |
|
Boston ended up beating Phoenix in triple overtime (following a game 4 Phoenix win in 1 OT)
It was a fantastic game and I immediately became a Celtics fan.
Last night was
AWESOME!!!!!!!

but the game you are thinking of was game 5 of the 1976 finals. Rick Barry and the Warriors won the NBA title in '75. http://www.nba.com/finals2008/greatest_game5s.html

4. That was back when the Boston Garden had no Air Conditioning |

It was really hot and muggy for June. I was 7 years old and my older sister had graduated from 6th grade that night. I went to bed but woke up becuase the rest of my family was screaming and yelling. Because I am a Boston sports fan from a family of Boston sports fans, these are the things I remember.
