Apparently when McCain is talking to the press in PA, the fake
names he gave his captors were the Steelers. But in his book,
the fake names he gave he captors were the Green Bay Packers.

One wonders if he has told this story with different teams
a lot depending on where he needed votes...

Oh boy, now you have something political to talk about at
the next game BBQ :-)

1. Just watch. When he's in Florida, it'll be the Buccaneers
who, of course, did not enter the NFL until three years after he was released. :eyes:

2. Of course he could just be confusing football with baseball.
The Buccaneers refer to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

3. Let's just make sure all the bases are covered, so to speak.
When asked, McCain would give them...

...the offensive line of the Washington Redskins.
...the starting five of the North Carolina Tar Heels hoops team.
...the bench players on the New Jersey Nets.
...secondary of the Miami Dolphins.
...the bullpen of the St. Louis Cardinals.
...the starters for the 1955 Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings.
...the pitching staff of the Cincinnati Reds.
...the front four for the Minnesota Vikings.

He's kinda screwed in Nevada and New Mexico, but that should cover him in most of the battleground states.
