6. I have an idea to settle this game...
bring the Hall of Famers back out and let them play.

They always took this game more seriously than an "exhibition" anyway. :D

7. And now Lidge gets the loss, even though it was Billy Wagner's
stupid ass who let the AL tie it. Fuck.

8. Well this loss will prevent the Cubs from winning the WS
now that the AL gets home field advantage AGAIN.

I have to admit the home field advantage suspense is the only thing that kept me watching deep into extra innings.

On the other hand, I'm not sure it's fair that the NL Champion is punished just because the American League is without question far superior every year.

My favorite part of the game was the Yankee fans roaring in unison, "overrated" when Papelbon was on the mound.

That's what a rivalry is all about.

But I do have to surrender half of my doughnut since it was only a one-run win...

Congratulations to the AL (and to the NL, too). It was a great game...even though it went on soooo damn long...Great to see all those excellent players hanging together and enjoying the sport.

NEXT BOLDASS PROPHECY: Red Sox, now to enjoy home field advantage in the World Series, will collect all the doughnuts in October.

12. Are you calling doughnuts 'shit'?
Beantowners will not stand for that. You are going to have to answer to The Big Guy

13. I will be rooting for any MLB team to beat Boston
this season.

Listening to said Beantowners has become undeniably unbearable.

Go any team but Boston! :patriot:

17. Give us a break...the Red Sox will be in the celllar again soon
It's not like we've won a gazillion World Series like the Yankees.

We fans have learned over the years how to "wait til next year". We'll be there again.

18. I doubt they'll be in the cellar again soon, since they
now spend like drunken sailors like NYY.

But it would be nice to see the Rays represent the AL, or some other team.

19. Tampa Bay in the regular season, future AL East Champs
Maybe a Tampa Bay-Minnesota ALCS, with the Twins in the World Series of course.
