I kinda get the feeling that Big Brown - Curlin match-up ain't gonna happen.

2. I hope they both go in the BC Classic and lose

:D I'm so tired of the back and forth about them.

Nah, Curlin posted a respectable speed figure for the Woodward. Rumors of his demise are a little exagerrated. Big Brown may face a fairly tough field in the Monmouth Stakes.

Did you see War Pass was retired?

And Anak Nakal, one of our early TC horses, finally won a race, the Penn. Derby?

Edited to add: Lava Man will be retired to Old Friends.

3. I'm hoping they finish 1-2 in record time...
those two horses deserve better owners and trainers. I wish they'd quit fucking around and get it on or not. I don't think we'll see Curlin anywhere near Cali in Oct. But, I also said BB would never race after the Belmont if he didn't win the TC. Shows how much I know.

War Pass retired. Typical. Anak finally wins one. Well, I always said he was a good one with a lot of potential. LOL.

That's a good story about Lava Man. I so enjoyed his career. It was an honor to follow the old guy.

4. Kip Deville pulls a Big Brown at Woodbine
It wasn't quite Big Brown. How about Big Grey?

Kip Deville, prohibitive favourite in Woodbine's $1 million Mile yesterday, looked a little like his stablemate in that much-hyped Belmont Stakes, finishing up the track as local turf star Rahy's Attorney ($27.30) prevailed for jockey Slade Callaghan and trainer Ian Black.

Ventura, a fine-looking filly, was a strong second with Just Rushing and Ice Bear, another pair of locals, third and fourth, respectively, ahead of 1-2 Kip Deville.
