Aaron Rodgers and the Packers |
|
How do Packers fans feel about Aaron Rodgers and his first game as a starter? I thought the numbers from the game were good; however, I was wondering if Packers fans thought the results were not that good because the Vikings were not that great of a team. So, how to Packers fans feel?

I thought Rodgers looked like a wily old veteran last night, instead of someone starting his first game. I think his performance bodes well for the Packers as he most likely will get even more comfortable in the position.

2. Well as a Packers fan, |
|
it was what a lot of us expected. We have seen this guy in preseason and when he came in during the Dallas game last year, he kept them in the game. As far as the Vikings I haven't understood the love-affair that the media was having with them. Once again they are proven that they are waaayy overrated.

5. The problem the VIkings have |
|
is the problem that has been identified for some time. Their QB sucks. If the Vikes had half a quarterback, that game would have been a loss for Rodgers. Look at the stats and tell me it doesn't look like a Vikings win. More total yards, more rushing yards, close in passing yards, more time of possession. Jackson just can't get the damn ball in the end zone. The run game is stellar, the run defense is very good, the pass defense got even better with Allen (and don't even get me started with the number of uncalled holds that Clifton had). The problem is the QB. NOt sure why they didn't go after someone better. That and the fact that Childress and Bevell couldn't call their way out of a wet paper sack, but even with their shitty game plan, a better QB would have turned that into a win.

3. It should be "Aaron Rodgers and the 49ers" |
|
San Francisco went for Alex Smith -- another regretful draft decision by the team that once knew how to win.

Not spectacular, but he also didn't try to force things to happen like Favre tended to do (and as Jets fans will find out).
I think it's going to be a decent year for the Packers, maybe 10-6 or 11-5.

6. I thought he looked great.....loved his lambeau leap.....and he said |
|
he had been dreaming of doing that for four years!! :applause: The queens?? and that 35 million dollar DE Allen they picked up didn't even get close to Mr. Rodgers. When he first arrived in MN he said he hoped Mr. Rodgers is up to date on his life insurance. :eyes: got the fans all excited, but didn't even get close to Mr. Rodgers all game, that was sure some investment. I'd be extremely happy with 10 - 6 this season. GO PACK GO!! :toast: :bounce:  :yourock: :woohoo: :applause:
