3. The Yankees had a great run.
Can't really complaing too much. There were many teams that were better than NY this year.

Hopefully NY can get back to the playoffs next year.

5. It was a damn great run.
13 straight years is awesome. The next highest is now just 2 straight years, to put the Yankees accomplishment in some perspective.

6. That's true...it's not like they had that bad of a year, as they'll
probably end up with the 4th best record in the AL; the AL East is always the toughest, and with Tampa coming on, it really has the most parity as well.

4. Are you sure? I thought the Red Sox were down to only 1...
...and elminated Toronto today.

However, since Babe Ruth is rolling over in his grave right now, he will curse the Yankees on their final game at HIS house and make sure they lose, so, yeah, it just ain't official yet...

7. The Yanks are eliminated from the AL East pennant. They could
still conceivably win the rest of their games and Boston could lose all theirs, which would force a tiebreaker game. So for all intents and purposes, they're done.

8. I can ALMOST see the Sox trying to blow it by losing all the rest of
their games, but the Yankees won't be able to win all of their's.

9. Haha no confidence in your team? I think they're pretty much set.
Hope the same is true for my Phillies!
