Embarrased by our behavior at the Ryder Cup

I thought our behavior was boorish. I am personally embarrassed by not only the players like Boo Weekley but the fans cheering bad shots. I love the quality of play but we wonder why the world finds us to be uncouth. Look no further than our players and fans.

Tom Weiskopf described it best: "Can you imagine Jack Nicklaus running across the green when the opponent had a putt to halve the hole?"

Olazabal had maybe a 30-35 foot putt to nullify Leonard's effort.

Leonard's reaction was understandable but the other American players and their wives should have been locked up. All they had to do was wait for Olazabal to miss, then charge the green when the Cup had officially changed hands.

I didn't see anything wrong this year. Azinger the day before the matches told a gathering that it was okay to cheer missed putts. That's suspect only because it didn't need to be said; they'll do it anyway.

Weekley agitated Westwood, and Kim thought Garcia was gaming the situation by taking a contorted stance to get a ruling of an unplayable lie. Kim stormed away saying, "do what you have to do." That earned some criticism on golf websites but I agreed with Kim. Garcia was sticking his left foot back at a cockeyed angle to stick it on the cement stairs and pretend they were interfering with his stance.

You always get some idiot fans hurling insults, but guaranteed it was less this year without Monty. He was the lightning rod. Faldo's captain's pick of Poulter turned out very well but Monty or Clarke would have been preferable above Casey, and far more entertaining.

5. Haven't been watching, but if fans are cheering bad shots

they should be escorted off the course. The Masters would never put up with crap.

6. The crap that Weekley did

was terrible and the media loved it. talk about a double standard, I thought it was worse than Terrell Owens and the media and all the fans loved it. Another case of white privelege.
