Will Drew Brees break Dan Marino's 1984 passing yardage record? |
|
Through 11 games in 84, Marino had 3340 of his record 5084 passing yards.
Through 11 games this year, Brees has 3574 yards and has to average 302.2 the last five games to beat the record. So far this season Brees is averaging 324.9 yards per game.
Lordy, if only the Saints had a defense.

Brees wouldn't need to throw for all those yards. They'd spend a lot more time doing what they did in the 4th quarter last night.

Not much margin for error. One game of "only" 250 yards would make it pretty tough. Two of them would make it nearly impossible, despite the fact that he never had a poor game.
It's a really tough record to crack. The Professor
