As a lifelong Jayhawk, I have to say that was the most exciting finishes since the NCAA championship.
Instant classic.

3. That was a fun game to watch |
|
"Basketball on grass". And I had no rooting interest at all, but really enjoyed watching the game. But, go Mizzou in the big 12 championship. Really screw up the bcs.

4. Having family that survived one of Missouri's raids |
|
when they burnt down my hometown because we were against slavery and they were for it I'm always glad when KU kicks Missouri's ass. This is a blood feud that goes back before the Civil War. The BCS be damned.

5. Nothing better than college football rivalries. Fuck the NFL. |

8. I think most rivalries were created to boost ticket sales or create enthusiasm |
|
I agree. College rivalries are the real thing. Our rivalry with Missouri was created by Congress, fostered in blood shed (John Brown, Quantrill's Raid, etc.) and now is played through sports.

6. Absolutely incredible finish to that game. |
|
Very fun to watch. That's the thing I love about football, even if you aren't rooting for one of the teams you can always root for a great game - and that one delivered.
I still don't understand Mizzou's logic in sending the blitz on 4th down. KU needs a TD to win, and they have no timeouts. Protect the endzone!

9. Best explanation for what Missouri did |
|
is that they're Missouri. They don't know any better. And, fwiw, your posting is one of the few times I've ever seen Missouri and logic used in the same sentence. ;)

I was on the phone with my Niece when Missouri went ahead for their last time. She was so sad. Great game for football fans. Great win for Kansas.

11. KU, the school of miraculous final moments |
|
I spent almost the entire game on facebook telling a friend from Lawrence (who was visiting friends without a tv in Ames, Iowa) what was going on. That was an exciting game. And you know us Kansans, we don't give up. Like we say in Kansas, it ain't over until the Fat Man sings. ;)
I was worried that MU was going to run the clock down and that we wouldn't have enough time to get the ball down the field. I absolutely loved it when Mizzou made that last minute challenge that was denied but put a couple of seconds back on the clock.
