This new style of college football---where the QB stops before the play and looks at the sideline--- |
|
and looks for a play call.
Last night was annoying as shit because of it----both teams were guilty but OU took it to a whole new level. The whole offense would look over pretty much on every play.
Too me, it ruined the flow of the game.... plus: I think it actually hurt them because Florida would have time to get set.
I hope this isn't the new way for teams to call plays.

1. Naw, that's a legit style of play imo... |
|
but what I could not stand was formation that looked like a pass and then having the quarterback run it again and again.
You know, the xbox style of play.
Tebow bless the Gators.

2. New style? Where have you been..... |
|
since about 1995. Spurrier started that when Wuerfful was QB. About 1/3 of all college teams check with the sideline before running the play.

5. The Illini do this all the time. Drives me crazy. I wonder if defenses can "decipher" |
|
the play calling from the sidelines after a while.

6. I assumed it originated in the Big 12 South |
|
Since it was all over the place that month ABC was running Big 12 South games every Saturday night.
