1. no
They were a good story, but they were only 9-7 during the year. They are also going to lose a bunch of players to free agency.

3. No..why should they?
despite their fluky post season run, they were still only 9-7 during the regular season.

4. Well they might get initial respect, and they played Pittsburgh
tough, but they had a very easy, easy regular season schedule much like Miami did.

So they'll collapse as San Francisco wins the division.

5. Well, they should
They earned it. No other team wanted to win the West and they stepped up. Kurt Warner had an MVP caliber year when everyone said he was washed up. So I guess they will compete again next year if God "allows" Kurt to continue to play well. O8)

7. Despite missing the playoffs, the Pats are the favorite at 8/1.
I'm a little surprised. I thought they'd have decent odds, but I didn't think they'd be the favorite. Also surprised to see the debacle in Dallas at 9/1.

8. What happens to teams the year after they lose the Super Bowl?
They don't even make the playoffs. At least not in recent years. And given the fluky nature of this year's playoff run and the fact that San Francisco appears to be on the rise, I'd say there's a good chance that the Cardinals will go nowhere in '09.

10. If Warner and his receivers return
I can't see why they shouldn't be the favorites to re-take the NFC West.

I'm not going to slurp the 49ers because they managed half a season of non-embarassing football.

12. Meh - I doubt it
I imagine that they will hover around .500 all year, maybe make a little noise late in the season, but they just don't have the pitching to make it into the playoffs.

13. Depends on whether the Brewers can rebuild their pitching staff
after losing Sabathia to piles of Yankee money free agency, and, of course, whether the Cubbies can "reverse the curse". :-)

and will keep team together.
