3. Where's your proof for that?
I love Rich Harden. Don't take away all my heroes.

I say everyone is on steroids except Juan Pierre.

And we know Duane Kuiper never took steroids.

2. I for one think that as a punishment for steroid use....
Anyone caught testing positive should be forced to play for the Pirates.

6. Remember Brady Anderson of the Orioles?
In the late '90's, suddenly one year he hit 50 HRs..after never hitting more than 21 in any year before that.

Plenty of players were using, easily at least 50%....Bonds was far from alone.

7. Thats the name I was thinking of and couldn't remember
I've never said Bonds was alone. I happen to think ALL the cheaters need to be punished.

8. I'm glad to see that you are calling for equal treatment
unfortunately Bonds' name has become synonymous with the use of steroids....for years he has been unfairly singled out, the whole thing is a travesty.

10. I've always called for equal treatement
Bonds is singled out for one BIG reason..he broke Baseball's most sacred record under suspcious circumstances. I think it would be silly to expect him NOT to get slammed.

11. I agree with an estimate I heard by Peter Gammons.
He thinks possibly 1000 players used steroids. That's why I'm not all butt-hurt about it. I figure so many players were on them, that in many ways, the field was fairly level.

Let's just do what was done with "The Dead Ball Era". Call it "The Steroid Era" and judge all who played accordingly. As for the Hall of Fame, just judge the players of that era with their peers, not with the others in the Hall.

12. but it's still unfair
to the players with enough integrity and self respect not to cheat. So everyone who has taken 'roids should be punished. MLB just waited way too long to crack down (i.e. making way too much money to want to crack down).

13. Um, it's by definition NOT unfair if pretty much everyone does it...
Remember the phrase "uneven playing field". Well, it's not uneven if they're all doing it.
