I was wrong! I assumed I hadn't been posting much because I've been busy with work...
...and stuff. Turns out it was severe depression over learning from a reliable source that Barry Bonds will be acquited on all counts. I am truly sorry for the mistake. Please accept my apologies...before this gets locked.

1. I'd be posting more if we had more hockey fans, as that's the only sport I give a shit about now.

I merely tolerate baseball because it carries me from the Stanley Cup to NFL preseason. :)

2. I don't follow hockey much, but I assume you're enjoying this season...
...last time I checked the Bruins had the best record!

9. Very much so, though the Sharks have a better record.
Still, it's been a fun season so far. I love the sport no matter who wins, but it's always nice to have the team you root for do better than expected.

13. I hope they win it all this year...it must be about 35 years since the
last Cup...maybe longer, because I think I was very, very young at the time.

20. Just Started Watching Hockey In HD
My goodness, what a difference. There is NO sport i've found so far that improves as much in HD as hockey. I just got the HD option for my cable. (I bundled and got internet, phone, cable and all and my total bill went way down, compared to cable plus a separate phone bill.)

So, i for an extra $8 per month i now i have HD. I watched a hockey game the first day on VS-HD. I've been watching games three times a week since because it's SO much easier to follow the puck in HD. Instead of sort of guessing where it is at times and following the rush in some general direction, i can actually see the puck the whole time. (Well, not if the goalie's laying on it!)

But, i'm back into the game now because it is way more fun in HD. And, the Blackhawks are playing well. Doubleplus good.

23. My sister has an HD tv and I've caught a few games there.
It's amazing the difference it makes. I'm so used to the game that it never really bothered me, but I can see why more and more people are discovering the game (or rediscovering it) with the HD tv's.

They were just talking about this on one of the broadcasts last week, and saying that not only the HD, but the extended screen make a huge difference. With the wider screen you can see the plays develop a lot better now. It seems like HD and hockey were made for each other.

And yes, the Hockey Hawks are doing very well. Had a feeling they might be good with the youngsters they have. They're my 3rd favorite team (after the Bruins and Devils) because I was always a huge Chelios fan (and I loved Roenick when he was young...man he could hit) so seeing them do good is awesome. I'd love for them to emerge from the West.

24. The Wide Screen Thing
I hadn't thought of that, but i'd say that's true. The extra width of ice you see at all times is pretty important.

I played some when i was a kid (either 3 or 4 years, i'm a little foggy on that) and always liked the game a lot. But, just never watched much on TV. Not anymore!

25. I've been a hockey fan for over 30 years
I'd love to see more threads about hockey (is Blake Wheeler awesome or what? Discuss). I posted a topic starter about the Sharks a couple months ago and like 2 people answered. I have an idea...more hockey threads and maybe a few thousand less threads about baroid's exploits in the legal system.

26. Nobody wants to talk about the Sharks with you because
you're a bandwagon jumper.

There's no honor being from LA, like you are, and root for all of the LA teams, except for -- very suspiciously, one of the best teams in the NHL this year, and one that has a chance of winning the Cup.

3. I'm sorry, too. Now that Football season is over, the folks that I chat with
here don't think NASCAR is a real sport. Go figure.

I imagine I'll be getting all choked up.
