Why is government intimidation okay with the Bonds haters?

Last month some 20 IRS and FBI agents raided the Redwood City home of Madeleine Gestas, Greg Anderson’s mother in law. Anderson's attorney Mark Geragos commented...

“It’s such a blatant and transparent attempt to intimidate Greg, it makes you wonder whether you’re living in the Soviet Union.”

This follows an IRS investigation into Anderson's wife..in fact, soon after Bonds was indicted in late 2007, Anderson’s wife, Nicole, received a target letter from federal prosecutors.

In their zeal to get Bonds and needing the testimony of Anderson, the government has resorted to intimidating Anderson's family..but I haven't heard anything negative about the prosecution here in the sports forum, so I ask....why is government intimidation okay with the Bonds haters?
