Dodgers win again, your welcome Phillies
Oh wait the Phils would've been in first already if they hadn't lost their series against the Dodgers.

1. Yeah, you can thank the Mets for HANDING you that win on plate.
That was just a terrible loss for us.

I still can't get over Church not stepping on third and the airmail throw for the winning run.

2. You are in the bottom five in fielding
That was not surprising in the least.

3. A month and a half into the season that stat really doesn't mean much
I doubt they are there come the end of the year.

Fact of the matter is that the Mets HANDED you this win. Yeah, the fucked up and lost but it took you eleven innings to beat a team that fielded only three regulars tonight. It ook a lot of really weird shit for the Dodgers to pull this one off.

4. Well being a Mets fan I guess you do not get to experience decent fielding
The Dodgers bats weren't hot, but being top three in pitching and fielding means our top three offense doesn't have to score ten runs every night.

6. It's only a month and half into the season
And you're ptiching is still not that good.

You walked Wright two times tonight with the 6-8 spots in the Mets lineup going 0-13.

Your team ERA is a 3.92 to the Mets 3.97.

Those stats really don't mean much at this point in the season. To be top three in feilding, Pitching and Hitting through mid May is not that big of a deal. It's really early.

7. Umm our team ERA is 3.79 (not including tonight), second to KC

Our pitching could be better, you're right. Getting Kuroda back soon will help our NL best squad.

10. The relief corp needs some help
but at the start of today's game, the Dodgers' led the majors in ERA among the starters by almost 20 points.

11. I know how to fix that relief ERA
Don't let Mota pitch our garbage innings and allow grand slams when we're up by 11.

13. I just double checked
You're right.

It's still early there guy.

I think you're in for a major heartbreak with the Dodgers. This was not a healthy Mets squad tonght and was without Reyes and Delgado. Even with Reyes in the lineup I don't think the Dodgers walk away from this with a win. They had a hard enough time getting Pagan out.

Sorry, but I think at the end of the year the Mets are gonna be the best team in the NL. They addressed their biggest weakness which was their pen in the offseason. Wright is having an MVP like season and probably gonna be a 30/30 guy with over 90 walks.

Pelfrey usually heats up in about June and having him pitching behind Santana gives the Mets one of the best one two punches in the game. Pelfrey is pretty lights out later in the year.

I wouldn't get too cocky over this game.

15. The Mets have tried to spend their way to the top for a few years now, and
the Mets find ways to fuck up in August and September.

The biggest thing for the Mets is that if they actually make the playoffs, Santana can will the Mets to win two games a series.

The Dodgers aren't at full strength either. Kuroda has been gone since the first week of the season, and Manny won't be back until July.

Hell there's still a chance Schmidt maybe could help our bullpen later in the year. God between Kuroda and Schmidt, that's 37 million dollars right there.

17. You're arguing Pitchers out of the lineup?
Redding is not a regualr starter on this team. He pitched exceptionally well against you guys tonight.

You wanna complain about trying to buy a WS? The difference between the Mets and the Dodgers is 35 mill right now. LA is ninth overall in all of MLB. They are big spenders themselves.

Dude, you're gloating tonight is totally proving yourself a bandwagon jumper. You've been doing nothing but trash the Mets the last couple of days and you don't exactly have much to talk about. That sloppy Mets team swept your beloved Dodgers three seasons ago with a pitching staff put together with pipe cleaners and duct tape.

Oh, and the chokes of the last two seasons? That was the bullpen primarily. Their Pen ain't exactly the same as it was last year or even two years ago.

8. BTW, the Mets infeild circa 98 was ranked one of the greatest ever
7. 1999 New York Mets

The addition of third baseman Robin Ventura, who copped his sixth Gold Glove, greatly improved an already strong infield by allowing slick-fielding Edgardo Alfonzo to move to second. Adept as Alfonzo and Ventura were, Rey Ordonez stole the show, winning his third straight Gold Glove - the acrobatic shortstop routinely made plays across the infield that had never been seen before. With his unparalleled creativity, Ordonez was the best fielding shortstop since Ozzie Smith - in 1999, he also cut down on his errors, making just 4, down from 17 in 1998, to lead major league shortstops in fielding percentage.

John Olerud provided a solid pair of hands at first; he would win a Gold Glove in Seattle the following year. The Mets set the record for fewest errors by an infield - 33 - breaking the record set 35 years earlier by the 1964 Baltimore Orioles.

1B - John Olerud

2B - Edgardo Alfonzo

SS - Rey Ordonez, Gold Glove

3B - Robin Ventura, Gold Glove

C - Mike Piazza

Yeah, the Mets have never experienced good fielding.

14. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I thought being Mets fans we never get to experince "good fielding"?

The Mets can be one of the whackier teams in baseball when it comes to inventing new ways to win games. They've also had teams that have featured amazing pitching, feilding and hitting. As far as starting pitching goes that's always been one of their strong suits.

Former Dodger catchers?

Actually, when we got him he was a Marlin. But the kicker is that Piazza was not a great defensive catcher.

16. That was just a troll from me
Anyhow the Dodgers are the best in the NL right now.

Will it last? I think there's a great chance since we're far from being at full strength, and the trade deadline could nab us another impact player.

5. I've seen some sloppy games
played against the Dodgers this year, but that had to be the sloppiest. Five errors! Don't forget Beltran's "dropped" fly ball in the 9th. Yes, the game was handed to them but it doesn't diminish another fine performance from Randy Wolf.
