Education/tax dollars spent at church sponsored camp?
Is this what went on here? http://themountaineer.com/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2735:church-camp-closes-abruptly&catid=25:the-project&Itemid=27
Sounds that way to me. I wasn't aware that church camps were just like any other summer program. I'm all for kids going to camp and getting to eat, etc. but this particular school system is losing monies from the state, laying off personnel, cutting it's own programs, but then they have money to help an insolvent religious camp keep running? What's up with that?

Correct me if I'm off base here. :hi:

1. according to the article
the only school system involvement is with the feeding program for at least some of the kids at camp. Terms like reduced cost or free meals associated with the program may mean that there is may also be a Federal involvement in program.
