1. Now that's cool! (Although sad that schools even need funds raised for them.)

2. I will know that we have become the country I wish we were
when schools were fully funded and the military industrial complex had to beg for money.

5. Do you feel bad for the kids because they will be embarressed?
Which is probably true but read one of the comments from the attached threads:

"I am proud of my Dad for being a part of this calendar(Skip Tavakkolin)..Heck I am proud of all of them!! People getting creative to solve a problem...now that's a novel idea!!! We all have to realize we need to come together as communities to help out, instead of waiting on our government to fix things. We have the resources and the imagination to bring great change..and maybe even bring our neighborhoods together!! Congratulations Dads of Vashion...you trail blazers!

PS...It's also nice to not be the only one who showed some skin in print! Thanks for taking the heat off of me Dad"

It seems once the kid is out of the schools they start to think the parents aren't so totally embarressing!

LOL

:-)

4. And Bush told us No Child Left Behind was good
for the nation. Bush and his buddies bankrupted this nation! No member of the media EVER mentions this. And I am increasingly more and more angry that there is so much speculation about Is Obama going to make it, Is Obama in trouble with the progressives? How is Obama going to sell the health reform, how can he win over the Republicans? I believe in Obama, he will do it his way, I trust him. I have read and heard so many lies about him I want to puke.

6. This is similar to those principals who dress up as ice cream sundaes and sit on a roof,
kiss pigs, shave their heads, etc., all in the name of "motivating kids" or "raising $$$$". It's degrading, humiliating, and we wonder why folks don't have the respect for education we would like. Prime example.

7. umm...it was the dad who did it, not the school.
In fact, the school isn't connected with it at all except they get all the money.

I don't see this a humiliating.

8. I get that. Our underfunded schools result in folks doing all sorts of crazy things,
teachers, administrators, and even parents. Sad.

9. Totally agree. It is sad. Although I think the idea is pretty awesome!
