I would have better pay!
Seriously, all that a union does is guarantee due process and a voice in the working conditions, pay, and benefits of it's members. It is untrue that a poor teacher or worker can not be fired, we have seen some members released. What is needed is an administrator who will FOLLOW THE DUE PROCESS to it's conclusion. There is nothing majic in it....They agree by signing the negotiated contract that they will follow it, we do the same. Blaming the union is intellectually lazy.
