SF Chronicle: Audit finds excessive expenses by CSU employee
The San Francisco Chronicle http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/12/04/BAR91AUIRN.DTL">reports that California auditor Elaine Howle discovered that the California State University system wasted $150,000 on a former employee in illegal expenses. This happened during a year in which CSU campuses increased fees, cut many classes and services, and instituted furlough days, thus hampering the learning experience.

Not only is the CSU the perpetrator of money-wasting. Last week, the San Jose Mercury News published an expose on San Jose/Evergreen Community College chancellor Rosa Perez. According to the article, she "enjoyed big benefits as class offerings shrank".

And of course, the University of California Regents continue enjoying their excessive salaries as students suffer from dumbed-down, broke universities.
