Today I received a lay off notice at the close of this school year...

Aside from the headache of job searching and the fact that they will be moving a throughly inexperienced bimbo into my position, who happens to have more years in than I, I don't feel too bad. The district is in major fuck up status with out of touch and no account administration. I feel for the kids and the families I have worked with. They're going to be bummed.

many people leave them...

13. my niece teaches kindergarten in a ghetto in DC.

some of those kids have been through hell. one little girl saw her father get shot in the face. my niece really tries to help them, but the class is overcrowded. she does the best she can.

she calls them "her kids" too.
