Cute News: Gay penguin pair tie the knot
A PAIR of GAY penguins are so loved-up they have been given a WEDDING service.
The besotted male birds turned out to be such a great parenting pair their keepers thought they deserved a reward and let them marry.

They were once given the cold shoulder at the wildlife park in China for stealing heterosexual couples' eggs to nest as their own.

But after being allowed to try out with eggs rejected by their mothers the couple have become the zoo's best penguin parents.

2. Yet one was dressed in drag
"One wore a tie and the other was dressed in a red blouse – a traditional Chinese bridal colour – as they stepped into their icy wedding room to the music of the Wedding March."

They got married, but it was not a same sex wedding. How pathetically sad.

5. lisa will wear a suit/tux and i will be in a sari for our wedding. doesnt negate the wedding as a
gay wedding

we both dont have to be feminine/masculine for it to be gay

11. Oh, I understand that
Still, it would have been nice if, absent any stated sartorial preference, the two gentlemen had been presented to the public as two gentlemen.

3. According to a show I saw recently, this seems to be usual penguin behavior.
All the penguin dads gather in a huddle keeping the eggs warm beneath them while the moms go out foraging for food.

15. You're wrong about that. The dads do huddle to protect the eggs but...
they don't normally mate with each other. Well, probably as normally as any species does, which is what makes this story so sweet. Finally "we" are admitting that homosexuality exists in other species.

6. This is good to know.

When America gets finished falling and China finally takes us over, maybe they'll allow us to actually marry who we love. It's certainly better than the prospects of "hope" that we face now. Long live Polarland Zoo and its keepers.

Yes, I'm serious. I like most things Asian anyhow.

It's a very cute story, btw. :)

7. Yay!
After reading about all of the goons who want to keep wars going, I needed this.

To me, this is being human is all about. This is why we're here. Penguin love, not bombs.
