Kenny Chesney wants us to know he is not, repeat, not, gay

After the marriage between Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney was quickly annulled for the murky reason of "fraud," tongues started wagging. Usually what they were saying was that the country singer was gay.

"What guy who loves girls wouldn't be angry about that? I didn't sign up for that," Chesney tells Playboy magazine about the rumors. "I'm pretty confident in the fact that I love girls. I've got a long line of girls who could testify that I'm not gay." :eyes:

Unfortunately, Chesney goes into too much detail. You know, the kind of detail that makes you go "ewww." For instance, he says he has bedded more than 100 women.

"There were years when I had a better summer than A-Rod," Chesney boasts.

So why did the famous couple split?

"I pushed her away," he says. "I didn't have any clue as to what true marriage meant. I was so used to committing to one thing - music - and then I had to totally commit to a second thing, marriage. I didn't know how to commit to both of them."

In all seriousness though, who gives a shit? It's 2009. If he's gay or bisexual, who the fuck cares? I don't know shit about country music so I don't know how necessarily big he is or what he thinks he stands to lose by coming out. But I have a hunch that the ignorant mouth breathers who would stop being his fans if he was open about his sexuality would probably be outnumbered by the new people who would support him. I mean, I hate country but I bought all the Dixie Chicks' albums when they started speaking out against Bush and went to go see their show. I just wanted to support them (and hey, turns out I really like their music).

The country superstar told Playboy that he lost his hair when he was 19, and he has come to terms with it.

Chesney told the magazine he's pretty comfortable being bald and that it doesn't bother him.
