Hundreds Protest As Texas Gov Signs Anti-Gay Measure
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/06/060605txGov.htm

About 300 LGBT activists and moderate religious leaders demonstrated outside a Christian school in Fort Worth Sunday as Texas Gov. Rick Perry signed a bill sending to voters a proposed amendment to the state Constitution that would ban same-sex marriage. Perry also signed legislation restricting abortion.

The Texas Senate approved the proposed constitutional amendment with a 21-8 vote last month. (story) The House had already passed it.

The measure defines marriage as between one man and one woman.
