Paul was feeling sick early last week. We went to the doctor who told him that he had a respiratory infection. I cringed. Ever since I was a child I've been susceptible to them and feared for the worst with this one.
It didn't take long.
I've been under the weather for a few days. I called in sick to work for 2 days because I was weak and coughing a lot (I work in food service so figured it wasn't a good idea to tempt fate).
Today would have been my 3rd call-off. I feel wicked and decided for a trip to the emergency room. Yep, I got the stupid upper respiratory infection that I've been plagued with since I was a wee lad.
Got cough syrup with codeine in it to help me sleep. Can't go back to work till at least Tuesday. And I still feel like caca.
Next time he sleeps outside, I swear.
Oh, and on-edit...
They also tested me for Swine Flu. Stupid swab down the back of the stupid throat.

Agnes has a throat infection. I'm succesptible to those infactions, and I almost always get bronchitis from them. I feel I'm tempting fate every time I do the dishes or make supper or .......
I'm dosing myself with every preventative known to womankind and hoping for the best.

3. I had an upper resp infection, too. I got an RX for Azithromycin and that |
|
knocked it out in 3 days.
Its a 5 day regime with your taking 2 the first day.
I highly recommend it and my cough is just about all gone. Good luck.

5. I had the remains of one once that wouldn't go away |

And they gave me prednisone (prescription anti-inflammatory) for my lungs to calm them down and let me expel the rest of the fluids. After reading the warnings (more susceptible to infections, stay away from crowds, which I can't do and still go to work), I didn't take them but decided to try taking an NSAID (*non*-steroidal anti-inflammatory), i.e., Advil.
I can't say for sure that it helped, but I felt much better real fast and coughed a lot of the fluid up. I've been taking Advil when I get stuff in my lungs ever since, and *I* think it helps. YMMV, of course.....
If you hadn't figured it out from the above, I know what you mean about feeling yucky!
