1. Yahoo!
So happy about this -- I may even be convinced to start watching again.

4. That Was My First Thought Too....But Honestly, Does American Idol HAVE Any Musical Credibility?
I'll admit I'm not a fan.

5. Simon has no music knowledge

As he himself points out in various interviews, he's a television producer with no background in music. You don't need to be an expert musician to know if someone has talent or not.

6. I agree . . . I love Ellen, but I think she's putting herself in a very precarious position . . .
at least Paula was a musician . . . Ellen admittedly has virtually no musical knowledge, and she may well end up looking like she's over her head as a judge of musical talent . . . I hope it works out for her, but I have my doubts . . .

7. She was a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance this summer
and she has no dance background and did fine. I believe it was one of the highest rated episodes of the season as well. I see Ellen as more of a human face on the judges now. She will fill in for the supportive role that can tell when somethings bad. Most of all she will be there for the ratings:)

8. I'm so sorry for her.
What did she do to end up getting stuck with this job?
