(And regardless if Come Out With Pride keeps their plan to visit or not, I will be going if it's free, I've wanted to see the place)

Gay Pride Week May Kick Off In Holy Land
Saturday, September 12, 2009 12:07:30 AM

ORLANDO -- "Come out with Pride" week might kick off at the Holy Land Experience.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the Bible-themed park announced that they will be letting people in for free on October 6 to justify its tax breaks.

That just so happens to fall at the beginning of the area's gay activities and celebrations.

Organizers told the newspaper they hope to begin the week at the attraction.

I'll be there - it'll be interesting if they try and limit us at the door! I'm a Christian, so I would like to see the place that the most unique husband and wife team of Jan & Paul Crouch bought from the previous owners!

1. I can just see it now
Jesus on a pogo stick, Buddy Jesus, Jesus on a trailer hitch, Jesus on a cross and my favorite Jesus on a motorcycle. And for treats St Pauls carmel candy popcorn, Angles hair cotton candy, corn dogs on a cross and elephant ears with manna icing.

Just think of the fun.:sarcasm:

2. arghhh
Filings to the Internal Revenue Service for 2007 show that TBN's total revenue was $195.8 million and expenses totaled $179.3 million.

I really would love to see these scumbags in jail.

4. just seeing those huge-assed giant gold & red velvet chairs on their channel as I surf makes me gag!
They get tax credits for that place - nice... I'm gonna take full advantage of it then - everyone in town that week should, and local residents, too. TBN is truly disturbing, I'd love a probe into them.

6. oh, I LOVE that! lolololol... and a busload full of the worst teens we can find
and then just leave them and the bus there when we're done!

I watched a few minutes of a couple preachers (and when I say preachers, I mean swindling televangelists who think they're preachers) for the first time in a few years, and I laughed and giggled as they told everyone that God wanted them to send $100 or $800, and one screwed up and said, "$8000, I mean $800" and everyone laughed, and he said, "well there's some out there with that kinda money who maybe that was a sign for!" :puke: I was thinking, yeah, you'll be one of them once the day is through with all the money you're swindling! They rarely talk about Jesus and caring for the sick & needy or fighting OPPRESSION and showing how they do it, it's all colorful bullshit about how 'great God' is and delivering His message - and then the call for checkbooks and credit cards - how these people can do it with a straight face is beyond me...

TBN is like watching puss run off a sore!

You round up the van, I'll find the incontinent folks, and drink a bunch of water too that day!

9. And on the subject of Jesus, Paul & Jan and the Jesusland theme park.....
I was channel surfing on TV last night, and happened to hit the Trinity Broadcasting Network right when there was a crawl across the screen announcing that the park is looking for three actors to play Our Lord and Savior JC Himself. So if any actors out there think they can play a convincing Yeshuah, make a DVD of yourself speaking the Sermon on the Mount and send it into Jesusland, or TBN studios, or where ever.

I wonder if they fired their last Jesus because he appeared on camera in Bill Maher's movie Religulous?? If so, how "Christian" of them. :eyes:

10. wow, 3 jobs out there, thanks for telling folks! I will tell some people too.
yeah, that'd be so Christian of them if they fired him.... sigh.

I really want to see what's in the exhibits they have. I heard there's some very ancient historical items. I would love to see them.

God bless

12. Just a little clarification
Hi, I'm Jamie, the online editor of Watermark who broke this story last week: http://www.watermarkonline.com/index.php/News/orlando-lgbt-news/3440-LGBTs-encouraged-have-Holy-Land-Experience.html

When other media picked up on it, they unfortunately confused something that was Kirk's idea, to have an unofficial/serendipitous "kickoff" event, by describing it as a Pride-sanctioned event that's part of the Week's agenda. Just wanted to clarify that - this is completely grassroots and independent, and is in no way sanctioned by the board of the MBA or the Come Out With Pride organizing committee.

That being said, I'll be there with camera in hand, photos and story on Watermark's site as soon as is humanly possible. Can't wait.
