Gay Man Fired By Company Tied To Coldwell Banker

A gay man who alleges he was fired by a franchise of the giant real estate company Coldwell Banker filed a wrongful dismissal suit Wednesday in Kansas.

Tim Watchous charges that he was sexually harassed by a female employee of Coldwell Banker Americana and when he complained was fired.

The suit names both Coldwell Banker Americana and one of its female employees

1. Loved this quote from the story ...

In an email to Watchous the company admitted that he was fired because of a "bump in the road" with Scofield and because of "some of the concerns other agents had with your lifestyle." The email also expressed appreciation to Watchous for "everything you did while you were with Coldwell Banker."

I think that translates to: "Hey, pal, you did great work for us ... but you're a faggot, so we have to let you go."

2. And of course the irony is

the only reason he's even able to sue is because the company includes sexual orientation in its anti-discrimination policy.

This is yet another example of why I get so damn angry with heterosexual Democrats who rattle on about gay rights being "finished" and that we've come a long way..blah blah blah when the fact is brought up that gays are the only minority not covered under federal anti-discrimination laws.
