Hateful Anti-Gay Irish Politician Iris Robinson, 60, to resign for adulterous affair with teenager
Edited on Mon Jan-11-10 02:52 AM by Divine Discontent
"I cannot think of anything more sickening than a child being abused. It is comparable to the act of homosexuality. I think they are all comparable. I feel totally repulsed by both." Iris Robinson, politician and wife of the leader of the DUP party in Northern Ireland. She is set to resign her position, after she was kicked out of the Democratic Unionist Party after the affair broke and the story of her supporting a $100,000 loan from developers without them knowing of her connection to him, and she demanded $10,000 as a kickback from the teen lover. She has stated publicly on the air that being Gay is, "disgusting, loathsome, nauseating, wicked and vile" and has long been a vocal advocate against Gay rights.

Story of affair - the 19 year old says he knew her since he was 9 and she was always there for him, because he lost a parent, and she was so supportive. (to the point of getting into his pants at some point)
Whattayaknow, screaming about how abuse of small children is akin to being GAY when in actuality, she was projecting hatred about herself as she screwed this young man while married!
What a putrid soul, she used the position of admiration he had for her growing up into getting him in bed.
This pig's story needs put on video to help the Gay cause, dammit!

Mrs Robinson expelled by the party for affair - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/northernireland/6956961/Iris-Robinson-is-expelled-by-DUP-following-affair.html

Her homophobic hate about abusing children being akin to being Gay

A video uploaded here by KenBurch, that was made for her to the tune of Mrs Robinson (how fitting of course if you've ever watched The Graduate with Anne Bancroft & Dustin Hoffman)

1. Don't malign the Republic of Ireland
They have enough on their plate without being saddled with this Northern Ireland (UK) woman.

9. However
The Republic and Northern Ireland do some laws together. Like the anti-woman anti-abortion laws the North has in respect to the Catholic South.

11. In truth, one of the few things Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland have in common....
...is their fucked up fundamentalist religious-inspired laws on issues like abortion and gay rights. The irony in all of this is that it's hard to distinguish between extreme Catholic (generally ROI) and extreme Protestant (generally NI) 'teachings' on these issues. They might hate each other, but they have so much in common.

The difference, though, is that the extreme Catholic wing of ROI society is becoming increasingly marginalised, while the extreme Protestant wing in NI is actually in power - eg Peter Robinson and his repulsive party. They make the ROI look positively progressive.

I don't give a flying **** who the disgusting, hate-filled scum that is Iris Robinson screws in her free time, but forgive me for taking endless joy in her current woes. The bible told her "homosexuality is an abomination".....the next passage suggested "ADULTERY!" isn't too hot either! And worse, she shagged a Catholic teenager! What's that sound? The gasping of her Pentecostal Christian buddies!

Iris? You're....

2. She not only had sex with the 19-year-old, but also *his father* and another man!
While she was denouncing homosexuality and the private sexual acts of gay people, at the same time she was committing adultery with a man barely of the age of consent and using the connections of her office to funnel money to him. It warms my heart to see bad karma bite a rabid homophobe in the ass as in this case, and I am enjoying watching the story unfold and having all the sordid details leak out. Robinson deserves every bit of mockery and scorn she has coming in her fall from grace.

The thing is, if she hadn't gone public with her crazy assertions on homosexuality, no one would have cared enough about her to look into her past and discover this mess.

I love the smell of schadenfreude in the morning. :)

3. People Who Live In Glass Houses...
and all that.

Don't you just LOVE the hypocrisy? I swear, the more homophobic they are, the more they have to hide. And I savour every moment when they are exposed.

14. yes, he is, and that hateful bitch slept with him by using his lifelong connection to her &
promising to get him a loan to start a business to shag the Catholic teenager... too much.

I used to have a dreamy guy like that, but of course, some bigot stepped into my situation and scared him off, too. These people are wretched souls and not 'happy' unless everyone else is miserable to cover up their own sickness and self-hatred - the irony of this story, from her being extremely high-n-mighty, to being "Mrs. Robinson", to talking about child abuse when she knew this kid since he was 9, is really too much!!!!!

10. Guess what: her hubby is suspended as well.
Mr Robinson, a former member of a paramilitary organisation (today we would dubb him a 'terrorist'), who defended his wife's homophobia by saying "It's not her making up that derisive line about homosexuality, God did", who became prime-minister of Northern-Ireland to sour his relations with Sinn Fein instantly. Remember him?

Well, he says, today, he needs time to sort out his personal troubles (i.e. HER). As such, he is taking a six week leave from politics. With the possibility of staying away longer.

For those less acquainted with Northern-Irish politics, this means there is a 9-in-10 chance he will resign. But this way, it would be the gracefull exit.

I personally suspect that behind the scenes, Ian Paisley jr. is warming up to step back into the government of Northern-Ireland. Just my gut feeling.
