If we wanted to we could paint the picture of teen GLBTQ suicide rates. That would scare sense back into parents. Almost anyone would rather a non-straight child to a dead one.

You'd need to start with mothers. Convince mothers and you win. Get them to feel for child suicide first, then tell them it was because they were gay, but only after they feel for the child. Couldn't hurt.
