10. yep - civil rights are only civil rights if you're black?
Odd that skin color would be a LESS dangerous idea than something you can't see, can't prove or disprove, and can only be accused of or admit to.

When we can put gay on our driver's licenses, like eye color or height, that wench should get back to us, otherwise it's like saying babtists shouldn't "be allowed" to get married, unless states rights says so.

I get it - some people who identify as "black" don't want their identities, trials and travails, cultural and personal, to be "usurped" by an IDEA, instead of something as concrete as skin color. I always thought that measure MEANT someone was a racist, since white supremacists use the same argument.

Odd bedfellows, that.

3. No, she did it to support "uppity negroes"
Agreed on the level of stupidity it took to make that comment.

4. She didn't "Move to the front of the bus" at all.
The ignorance is astounding. If you don't know the story, don't reference it!

7. Rosa Parks would have been mortified to learn
that a civil right such as marriage is only a civil right if you're black.

Yes republicans and some democrats aren't ignorant so much as filled with malice.

And another thing: what in the HELL does marriage have to do with sex? It's a legal definition that grants the right of inheritance by defining the legal family unit and next of kin for the purpose of conveying property and managing shared assets and fiscal responsibility.

There is nothing in federal marriage law that gives you a deduction for FUCKING. Kids perhaps, but not FUCKING. In ANY position or arrangement of pink parts.

8. she said gay people have numerous sex partners...
But that's partially because there is no encouragement of gay monogamy through marriage rights.

Allowing same sex marriage will encourage monogamy because without it being gay is seen as just some type of fetish.

9. but but but your (my, our) rights aren't civil rights...
simply amazes me every time I see that some people think they can roll up the rug and lock the door on civil society. "I got mine!!"
