Straight mother of a lesbian daughter here, and I have figured out the gay agenda:
It's to make all of us better, more loving human beings!

Thanks people!

4. The only gay agenda I've run into
Is my gay friends trying to get me to stop wearing sweats and t-shirts all the time so I can find a girlfriend. They haven't been that successful. Obviously God is on my side and is pro-sloppy menswear.

6. That would turn me against them
I would resist being made "better" or "more loving". I'm on board only because people have the right to be left alone when they aren't hurting anyone else. Actually, my support is based on my not giving a shit, which seems like the opposite of "better, more loving."

Don't take me the wrong way. This is my version of a mooshy group hug. We all have our own way of self-expression.

12. I consider it the 'pursuit of happiness' for certain people...
of which they have an unaliable right.

jeans tee shirts, old trucks, diggin in the dirt farmers.

I guess about the only way you can tell is the rainbow sticker next
to the nra on the old truck..gets me some strange looks sometimes when I go up to Danville,Va to shop.

Would you happen to have a photo? I want my GSA kids to see that! It would fry their brains--at first! :) ( typo edit)

10. I agree with this...
GLBT people are just people like everyone else. Though the gay men I have met so far have all been pretty awesome.

The OP makes me think of a line from Louis C.K.'s stand up

"Why can’t we have racism that’s ignorant but nice? You could have stereotypes that are positive about race. You could say, “Those Chinese people, they can fly!’ “You know about the Puerto Ricans… they’re made of candy!”

11. Actually, even racism that is 'ignorant but nice' is condemned. For example,
if you say that you think black people are attractive, you'll find many people think that's an offensive statement.

Not getting all egghead on you, but in case you were being even half-serious. :hi:

13. There seems to be a misunderstanding. Not at all serious.
I agree with Autonomy. The OP seems to me like the GLBT version of the line I quoted. Louis C.K. is a comedian and that quote is from his stand up.

14. One of my best friends is gay
and his agenda I'm pretty sure involves making enough $ for his rent, to feed himself, and maybe go on a date with the one or two spare hours he has every week. On a good day he might like himself, but I doubt he is ever trying to make everyone better, or more loving. Anyway, My Gay Agenda regarding him is to have a few of the funny-as-hell chat convos that we've not had enough time for lately. Frickin life, man. :(

16. I'm thinking that the gay agenda is to teach us all to treat each other right,
no matter the differences. In my vocabulary, that's more loving. In another's, it's the right to be left alone.

It's something more than tolerance, which implies judgment. Maybe appreciation of all the good stuff different people bring to the table.

17. You seem sweet & likable
I like sweet & likable, maybe because I'm not either. Unless you have a taste for cynicism and sarcasm. ;)

15. Well that IS sweet and true, but if I tried to tell that
to my uptight religious friends who condemn every walking aspect of homosexuality, I swear they'd explode into a 10-paragraph lecture on how evil it is. You see, they want SPECIAL PRIVILEGES to "make us all better" so they can ruin marriage!

Really though, nice little post. Gays contribute so much more to humanity than the homophobic masses are willing to give them credit for. Can't we all just put a little love in our hearts?
