Michele Bachmann-linked ministry: "If the US doesn't start executing gays, then God will punish us."
You Can Run But You Cannot Hide, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit ministry that brings its hard rock gospel into public schools, has been deepening its long-running ties to the Republican Party of Minnesota. Long a cause célèbre for Rep. Michele Bachmann, who has twice lent her name to the group’s fundraising efforts, You Can Run (YCR) had a booth at the GOP convention in April, and the group’s frontman, Bradlee Dean, reports that gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer recently accepted an invitation to visit with him at Dean’s home. But recent controversial statements by Dean — that Muslim countries calling for the execution of gays and lesbians are “more moral than even the American Christians” — have drawn the ire of some both within and outside the party.

“Muslims are calling for the executions of homosexuals in America,” Dean said on YCR’s May 15 radio show on AM 1280 the Patriot. “This just shows you they themselves are upholding the laws that are even in the Bible of the Judeo-Christian God, but they seem to be more moral than even the American Christians do, because these people are livid about enforcing their laws. They know homosexuality is an abomination.”

“If America won’t enforce the laws, God will raise up a foreign enemy to do just that,” Dean continued. “That is what you are seeing in America.”

“The bottom line is this… they (homosexuals) play the victim when they are, in fact, the predator,” Dean said, before going on to make a claim that has no basis in fact: “On average, they molest 117 people before they’re found out. How many kids have been destroyed, how many adults have been destroyed because of crimes against nature?”

Mark Knief, president of the Minnesota chapter of the Log Cabin Republicans, said Dean’s words were some of the “most outrageous lies I’ve ever heard.” (Really, this group is still around?)

2. If Bachmann has not been punished for all the havoc
she has caused, than everyone is exempt. She has done absolutely nada, zilch nothing for her constituents in Minnesota. Why in the world they elect someone who travels around the country, (at their expense) just to be famous, is beyond me.

3. ES&S has a similar tie--the corp that now has an 80% monopoly on U.S. voting systems.
The initial funder and major investor in ES&S was reclusive rightwing billionaire Howard Ahmanson, who also gave one million dollars to the extremist 'christian' Chalcedon foundation, which touts the death penalty for homosexuals. ES&S just bought out Diebold, thus gaining an 80% monopoly over the U.S. voting machine 'market.' All U.S. votes are now 'counted' with 'TRADE SECRET,' PROPRIETARY programming code--code that the public is not permitted to review, code that is owned and controlled largely by ES&S-with virtually no audit/recount controls. Half the states do no audit at all as a check on machine fraud. The other half do only a miserably inadequate 1% audit. In other words, 99% to 100% of the votes in this country are never seen or counted by a human being, let alone by a bipartisan, public, human committee.

Experts whom I respect say that 10% is the minimum audit needed to detect machine fraud. Venezuela does a whopping 55% audit--count of paper ballots against machine totals--and they use OPEN SOURCE code--code that belongs to the public and that anyone can review. Could this be why Venezuela has universal free medical care and we don't? In any case, 'TRADE SECRET' vote counting, in and of itself, is so egregiously anti-democratic as to be truly mindboggling. Add ES&S's monopoly and its far rightwing ties and you have a country that watches helplessly as war profiteers suck up all the money and wage corporate resource wars around the world, rightwing operatives rip up the Constitution, banksters get billion dollar bailouts, inexplicably stupid and vile people take up seats in Congress, jobs bleed out of the country to cheap labor markets abroad, and a progressive state like California 'votes' for an anti-gay law!

The far rightwing has the capability--the EASY capability--to fix any election in the country. Don't think that they are not using it to demoralize and disempower you and most Americans. They are. They may have gotten shrewder at applying this sort of "waterboarding" of the public, than they were while these machines were being fast-tracked all over the country (2002 to 2004)--for instance, by permitting a "liberal" to enter the White House and take the blame for everything--but this secretive, fascist corporation, ES&S, retains the power to change things for the worse at any time. The corpo-fascist press supplies the false narratives. They supply the voting 'results' and we have no recourse against them. None.

If you think that executing homosexuals is so far out, is such an insane tiny minority view, that it could never become the law here, you would be correct but for these extremely riggable, non-transparent, PRIVATELY CONTROLLED voting machines everywhere in the U.S. They are testing how far they can go with them. Bush-Cheney's 're-election,' despite revelations of torture, massive thievery and the lies about WMDs, and the slaughter of a million innocent people in Iraq, was one manifestation of this power. There is truly almost nothing that ES&S and brethren cannot do as to overriding the 'will of the people."

10. Are they still not disclosing exactly who makes up the private ownership of ES&S?
Not that I think they've improved in anyway since their inception, would just like an update.

4. really the most hilarious thing about these people
they think that gays live in a vacuum. They forget we are brothers, sisters, parents, children, friends, coworkers - and that more than just gay people would step up to stop that. They also forget that we're soldiers, police officers, doctors & surgeons & emt's, judges, and yes sometimes the waiter too.

So Dean, I say this as nicely as possible given the circumstances:

Go ahead and bring it. You never know when you might need one of us to keep you alive while you're running for your life from someone who cares about us, if not running from us directly.

Have a nice day. :hi:

6. Uh, Michele? I'm pretty sure Christianity is a religion of LOVE.
You know, "God is love," "God so loved the world..."

That goes for you, Michele, and for many others whose view of Christianity is much different than what many of us Christians believe Jesus said.

Sincerely,

UrbScotty

Wow, that was really easy! No wonder Bachmann finds it so attractive.

I know what he did last night! If he sends me $1000, I won't tell his wife!
