Update on situation with my mom

Some of you may remember the situation I had regarding my mom this past weekend (thread titiled "I had a big shock this weekend.") Well, I decided to talk to her about it, and find out if she did truly agree with the things my aunts and cousin were saying (homosexuals responsible for NOLA destruction, etc.)

We were talking about some of the stupid things people were saying about NOLA on the news, and I used that to lead into the topic. I didn't say anything directly about what she had done, but simply told her it really bugged me when my family members started going off on gays, like they did the other night. "I know," she said, "but you have to consider the source. We're talking about people who are not only ignorant, but willfully so, and completely unwilling to be educated about things. I knew that once we started talking about New Orleans, they were going to start in on the gays and lesbians." She said, "They're just so predictable; when they started going off about it, I just had to nod and think, 'Yup. Right on schedule. Just like Old Faithful.'"

So there you go. She's still on board. And I couldn't be more relieved.

Maybe god/jesus/allah/whoever is mad because this country/administration is totally screwing the less fortunate? Everything for the past 6 years has been favoring the RICH, RICH,RICH, and of course, the so called "christians".
