JetBlue flight attendant arrested for his entertaining exit from plane

Three cheers for JetBlue attendant Steven Slater! When his plane touched down at JFK, an entitled douchebag removed his luggage from the overhead bin while it was still rolling to the gate. Slater told the jerk to wait but the jerk called Slater an asshole and then hit Slater with his luggage.

Slater's handling of the situation is commendable:

Slater got on the plane’s public address system and yelled:

“To the passenger who called me a (expletive), (expletive) you. I’ve been in the business 28 years. I’ve had it. That’s it.”

1. He got arrested because he let a jerk get to him.

He has my total sympathies but he's correct about needing a change of career. The douchebag should be intensely grateful that the momentary breakdown he caused did not involve violence on the part of his victim.

That flight attendant could still sue the guy for hitting him.

That's a big no-no.

But maybe worth it. Who can top that exit?
