1. It's a no-brainer that could have been handled within weeks...
by most any democratic president.

4. Don't be so sure.
Don't be so sure. The issue defeated Clinton in that it resulted in the awful and distorted compromise of DADT that even came back to bite Hillary in her Presidential Bid.

I believe that this country will look back at DADT as a very bleak period in our nation's history when hatred won out--much like the McCarthy Era. It has played to the worst instinct of people.

5. Obama's problme (one of many) is that he had no realtionship whatsoever with the military brass
prior to becoming president, so he has been very deferential and timid...look at iraq, Afghanistan and this...Hilary became quite hawkish as senator, if she had been elected, she would have said to them, I made a campaign promise, this has to work...they would have let her...Obama they're too busy testing out and trying to one-up him.

2. Now let's wait a minute here...don't rush into anything...
We'll need to talk to each enlisted soldier individually, talk to their spouses, their parents, their parents spouses, then form a bipartisan committee to impartially look over the data, submit a report to the President for consideration...

Then it will have to be reconsidered, we'll need to go back and spot check to make sure people haven't changed their minds, then we'll have to figure out how to separate the homos from the normal people. We want to make sure it's done fairly...

:puke:

Any President who was a true leader, who really believed in equality for all, could have had this handled long ago. Too bad we don't have a leader in office.

Hey Obama, better check with your corporate masters to see what they want you to do!

6. But we need to survey the soldiers
and their spouses, their children, their neighbors, their high school prom dates, and maybe even the entire town each of them lives in. This is a process you know, and it might take centuries. Y'all gotta be patient.
