She told me about an employee survey that was sent out today.

Along with the "do you like your boss" questions were the typical demographics like race, age group, etc.

Included in that section was a new classification: Lifestyle (I think they called it) and the options were homosexual, heterosexual and bisexual.

I thought that was interesting.

Maybe by the time the CA and MA cases get to the SCOTUS it will change protected classes to add this demographic. I have to wonder if thats one reason that BoA is collecting the data - which is confidential, BTW - no connection back to the employee other than which office they are in.

2. I would tend to believe it only because of the legal issues that could arise.

BoA cares more about covering their ass than any company I have ever heard of. You wouldn't believe the stories I've heard!

3. I've been saying for a long time that

these will be protected classes. I, however, don't trust anything that BoA does. We now have Realtors advertising that BoA is "NOT the lienholder" on their short sales! That is how much they are hated in my business.

In any case, I am glad to see the counseling office at my school has a box for transgender.
Now if only they could put that on ALL the forms students have to fill out.......
