1. As a long time counselor, I have to agree with this godawful chart.


The process can be so strong that in some (not all) circumstances, the youngster may also be picking up on the family and church's unspoken wish that he/she just-not-BE. A more primitive version is: change or leave. :cry:

2. K and R. But it's not just the far right.
It's pretty much the default position of the heterosexual majority.

If they haven't been explicitly taught why and how these attitudes are based on erroneous assumptions, they are unlikely to develop enlightened and tolerant reality-based reactions to GLBTs.
