Proud of my sister
Last week my sister facebooked a high school friend to recommend my partner for a job.

She referred to her as her sister-in-law.

I know that may not seem like a big deal, but my parents have Fox News on 24/7, so, it really felt good to me.

5. It is rare that a Yankees fan can tell a story that makes me smile....but you have succeeded.
It's great that we're making some progress in our society, our politicians not withstanding. I look forward to the day when everyone who wants to marry can do so.

I suppose it's too much to hope for that your sister is a Mets fan, but either way I think you should be very proud. A lot of people can't overcome their Fox News upbringing.

If you don't mind my asking, have your parents moderated at all?

Steve

8. My parents were both in attendance at our Civil Union Ceremony
And my Dad gave us a nice card with plastic wedding rings strung by ribbon.

And they've always been as nice as can be to my partner.

Unfortunately, they remain diehard Fox infused Obama hating Republicans. But they're both 87, Mom had dementia even, so there's little hope of their ever seeing the big picture.

6. Thats pretty awesome
Out of curiosity are your parents accepting of your partner? Either way its AWESOME that your sister referred to your partner as her sister-in-law! It's good that she was able to break free of the fox news BS.
