Even in being GLBT was a "lifestyle choice", people should be free to CHOOSE it!
I hate it when bigots say "lifestyle choice" like it's a BAD thing!

1. well conservatives in America seem to hate actually having any kind of freedoms or choice |
|
unless it's a choice between a slightly less extremist Republican Christian and an extremist one.

I believe that people are born gay or straight but even if it were a "lifestyle choice" it would still be a perfectly good one. Being married is a "lifestyle choice" too. So is being a vegetarian, living in the suburbs, smoking, playing golf, owning a pet or millions of other things. People make lots of lifestyle choices. I may not make the same lifestyle choices but I will not deny anyone else their right. People really need to get a life.

You are obviously born gay or straight, but what if a straight person just wanted to date people of the same sex for whatever reason? Isn't this a free country? Why would it matter if it wasn't an innate characteristic?
Hell, staying unmarried for life is also a "lifestyle choice." No one cares about the perpetually single, or at least no one wants to deny them rights.

4. The only "choice" in being gay... |
|
is whether or not to stay in the closet...
You are still gay....no matter what "choice" you make.
