Does anyone have any stats on this?

1 of every 10 people born is GAY. That means 1 of every 10 people is instantly put down, given bad labels, left alone, put in a minority and so much more all for something they didn't ask for.

Has there been a study? I'm curious, because I'd love to support this, but is it accurate.

3. OK, so that can't be a legit percentage because too many

people still don't feel comfortable partaking in a survey. I only wonder because I challenged my sister on FB to provide a link; she couldn't, and she got p.o.ed at me. I think I've been on DU too long-I require a link for everything!

I offered should be mostly good... I checked them quickly... especially the Kinsey reports and the CDC stuff... generally I believe you are on the right track... pretty common belief is that approx. 10%+ of us is homosexual possibly more ---but one of my professors started out a class by asking us how many sexes there were?? and went on the explain that there are many "...if the state and the legal system have an interest in maintaining a two-party sexual system, they are defying nature. For biologically speaking, there are many gradations running from female to male; along that spectrum lie at least five sexes -- perhaps even more..." (that from 'Myths of Gender: Biological Theories about Women and Men') edit to maintain that is not the same as sexual orientation but to say that we are complex and very interesting!

We are a very diverse and interesting group, we humans. We cannot put each other into neat little boxes and expect it to be ok.

5. I have always thought the number is about 10%.

Except for Australia where it seems to be at least 20%.
