Check in if you're wearing purple today...
I picked out the purplest shirt I could find...but my husband informed me that it was actually burgundy.

I missed what's going on - let me know what statement I'll be making so I can nod knowingly if somebody gives me a thumbs up. Thanks. :hi:

3. People are wearing purple today to show solidarity with young
people who have been bullied and to stand up against bullying...especially with all of the young people who have committed suicide lately because of it. Here's a link from GLAAD. http://www.glaad.org/spiritday

21. I remembered just in time.
As I dressed, I was preoccupied, and I pulled on something else. Before I went out, though, I remembered the purple shirt I'd decided on yesterday, and I changed.

I usually pay almost no attention to what I'm wearing. For me to go to the effort of changing was a major show of support.

I told two of my classes directly why I wore purple.

24. Purple!
I had a young co-worker (also wearing purple) ask me, "so...you're wearing purple...for a reason, or just because?"

I said, "For a reason. And you?"

She said, "me too." We fist-bumped.
