7. I hear ya
The stomping in Kentucky, the closeness of some of these races against Tea Bagging idiots. It's mind boggling and depressing. Unemployment, jobs, GOP'ers wanting to slash and burn every social program. It's just too much to handle. It seems to be raining down without stop.

8. I think it's going to be worse in 2012
I have a hunch that a lot of incumbent democrats are going to copycat tea party candidates.

10. Then I quit voting forever.
Edited on Tue Oct-26-10 09:59 PM by madmax
Doubt I can leave the country but, I will have to make up my mind - will I vote the lesser of two evils or take a stand.

on edit: I don't think President Obama would go that route. I would vote for him again.

14. Not Obama but ones who will be in close races with republicans
I can almost see and hear it now. They will even try to harm Obama's reelection just to show that they're now fiscally responsible democrats against deficit spending, entitlement programs and health care reform and that they loved the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy.

12. maybe they'll be honest about what they stand for
instead of jerking us and letting us believe that they're going to try and change things

you know exactly where the teabaggers stand

no question about that

16. I've seen what a lot of them already stand for
They vote with the republicans most of the time. Democrats in name only. Blue Dogs, Moderates, Reagan Democrats, and now get ready for the Tea Party Democrats in 2012.

18. Thanks to moderates
There's no single-payer health care and no gay marriage. Democratic politicians refuse to get behind or run away from those two very important issues because they don't want offend you or lose your support.

25. Never said that so don't act like a little kid putting words in other's mouths
Edited on Wed Oct-27-10 10:47 PM by Crazy Dave
Maybe not "all" of them vote against those issues but they damn sure don't support them either and that is correct.

As I clearly stated before, everyone is always worried about offending or chasing off the moderates and independents with things "socialized medicine" and "gay marriage".

Where have you been the last two general elections? Tell me you haven't seen the numerous posts telling our gay DU members that they need to shut up, chill and disappear until after the election because they may chase off the moderates and Reagan democrats and cause us to lose the election. Happens every time so if you missed it the last two times just pay more attention in 2012.

So how do you define yourself as a moderate?

Do you support the wars and a bloated defense budget?

Are you against single-payer health care?

Are you against gay marriage?

Are you against a woman's right to choose?

Are you for extending the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy?

Do you want social security privatized?

All of the above?

26. So few here who claim to be on our side are really hones about
how little they really give a damn about even raising a finger to support our issues.

They'll only help us if it's so absolutely convenient to the point of being meaningless, and has no consequences at all.

If there are any consequences at all, then they think we're moving to fast and being too offensive in the way we're going about things. Any consequences must be our fault, not the fault of those who put up the resistance to our rights.

They just don't get it. :(

And these are our "allies."

What does that say about our enemies?
