Gay Inquisition Begins At Missouri Seminary
http://www.365gay.com/newscon05/09/092705semin.htm

"Are you, or have you ever been, a homosexual?" That is the question that Vatican investigators began asking this week at Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis.

The seminary is the first in the country to face the scrutiny of inquisitors in their investigation of gays in American seminaries.

The president of Aquinas, Father Charles Bouchard, said he is opposed to the line of questioning but has no choice but to allow the investigators to probe students.

how about asking-are you or have you ever been a child molestor

I think that's the more important question

red herrings all around

3. Nah ... there won't be any future sex scandals.
When the Vatican gets done, the 17 priests who are left will be to busy ministering to millions of American Catholics to engage in any hanky-panky.

4. Is it okay for me to say
I'm sick and tired of Christianity itself?

5. I can understand your feelings of frustration ...
(and believe me, I've been there myself and still have my share of issues with parts of Christianity) ... but I believe there are many good teachings in Christianity (and Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Paganism, etc., etc.).

The problem is that some people hijack their belief system to use for their own purposes.

6. Oh, I'm not saying Christianity is intrinsically bad;
I'm only saying I'm tired of hearing about how much we need America to be a wholly Christian nation, following solely Christian policies (from the faith-based initiatives to no beer sales on Christmas), exhibiting solely Christian-acceptable culture, and so on.

I don't believe any one religion holds the whole truth, but I do believe all religions hold part of the truth. It is many Christians' seeming inability to separate the wheat of their religion from the chaff that raises my ire.
