I remember when Catholics - well, some Catholics - were like those remarkable Maryknoll Sisers gunned down for working for social justice in Central america, or like Dorothey Day, or like my cousin - a former Jesuit in training who was in a house in CA that later ( after he was gone) was hit by a death squad.

I am not a Catholic now - haven't been for over 20 years - and I - as a cradle Catholic - hate what it does to people - but as you look at this, remember that there were people like Archbishop Romero and others who have fought the good fight.

edit to add: as there are of people of many faith traditions - Jewish, Christian, Islamic, Atheist, Buddhist and all others.
