Redistricting matters to LGBT Americans
Legislative districts with large LGBT populations can be a source of political power for the community, which is one reason why the upcoming redrawing of those districts is so important, according to this article. "There are still densely populated LGBT communities that have never elected someone who is openly gay. It's time that they start to get counted," said Paul Mitchell, a Democratic political consultant.
