Over these past three years, my eyes have been totally reopened with respect to GLBT issues, and once a person realizes what this about, there is no going back. There is no other ethical or rational choice other than to be on the side of the GLBT community.

This has been an awakening for me, and I appreciate this community more than I can put into words, and what you have taught me over the past three years, since Prop 8, about what this is all about.

You are in my hearts, and I wish to have the honor to fight for your cause.

Namaste

1. Right on! Brother!
The daughter of an old and beloved friend is struggling with her sexuality. I need to let her know I support her, however this comes out.

2. This is a civil rights fight, just like my precious parents fought for the rights of Black Americans
For me, it has been a gift to learn to know GLBT people. A T person took care of my precious grandmother, and a Gay man taught the best screenwriting class I ever had in college, and god rest his soul he died. And I miss and appreciate him.

6. Me too.
>>>We're glad to have you with us...at least I am.>>>

If one thinks about it, GLBT rights is "everybody rights." Non GLBTs benefit just as much as we do when everyone is free to be whomever/whatever he/she really is and we aren't straightjacketed by rigid , anachronistic and dysfunctional ideas re. sexuality and gender.

Most people don't really see the truth of this this and that is a friggin' tragedy.

7. You're right. There's no going back.
The slogan in my sig line hit me like a ton of bricks one day, and that was that.

Anything other than fully 100% equal rights is bullshit.

My parents wouldn't've stood for any less for people of color back in the 60's and 70's, and I won't stand for any less than that for my LGBTQ brothers and sisters.

There's no going back.
